From intern to full-time: Growing careers and making an impact at The Campbell’s Company

It’s May, and that means we’ll be welcoming our next group of interns to The Campbell’s Company this month. We’re proud to offer 12-week internships in our dynamic, inclusive environment – creating space for early career talent to grow through real experience, mentorship, and support. 

Many Campbell’s interns continue their journey with us long after their internship ends. In fact, more than 50% of our interns accept full-time roles after graduation, reflecting our commitment to growing and retaining top talent.

From internship to impact: Real career journeys at Campbell’s

 Caroline Alba, Marketing Operations Analyst

Former Sales Finance Intern

Why Campbell’s: “Campbell’s is committed to your development no matter your career goals or interests.” 

Education: B.S.B.A., Finance and Banking, Appalachian State University 

Campbell’s journey: Caroline began her career with The Campbell’s Company in Charlotte, NC, progressing through roles in Sales Finance, Supply Chain Finance, Power BI Development, and Commercialization. She has also taken on leadership roles through event-planning for the Bridge Network, our Employee Resource Group (ERG) that connects generations across the company. 

Intern highlights: Caroline felt her work as an intern made a real impact and that colleagues were genuinely invested in her growth. 

Adam Sands, Associate Manager, Supply Chain Finance– Capital and Network Optimization 

Former Accounting Intern for Inventory Controls and Brand Finance Intern for Meals & Beverages

Why Campbell’s: “Although my internship was completely virtual, the Campbell’s culture came through – everyone was so nice and supportive.” 

Education: B.S., Accounting and Business Intelligence, St. Joseph’s University 

Campbell’s journey: Adam’s first internship helped him build strong relationships, leading to a second internship with the Brand Finance team. After graduating, he pursued another opportunity but soon realized how much he missed Campbell’s culture. He returned to the company and is now a mentor to interns.

Intern highlights: Adam was invited to extend his internship beyond the original end date. 

Carol Allen, Brand Manager – Late July

Why Campbell’s: “I’m proud to work at a company with women in prominent leadership positions. As a woman in business, it’s empowering to see such strong female leadership.” 

Education: M.B.A., McDonough School of Business, Georgetown University; B.A., Communication and Psychology, Denison University 

Campbell’s journey: After transitioning from a career in media entertainment sales and operations, Carol pursued her M.B.A. and joined Campbell’s as a Brand Marketing Intern in Charlotte, NC. Today, she works at headquarters in Camden, NJ as a Brand Manager for Late July and values mentorship opportunities like the Women Inclusion Network (WIN) mentor program.

Intern highlights: Despite a remote internship, Carol felt deeply included through virtual coffee chats, happy hours, and team connection. 

Kyle Emerson, Associate Demand Planner 

Former Supply Chain Intern in Denver, PA

Why Campbell’s: “You can have an impact even as an intern. The Denver team made me feel like I was adding value and gave me the opportunity to show what I’m capable of.” 

Education: B.S., Logistics, Materials, and Supply Chain Management, The Pennsylvania State University 

Campbell’s journey: Kyle began as a Supply Chain Intern at our Denver, PA plant, where he worked on digitizing systems to increase efficiency. He later joined Campbell’s full time in Operational Excellence and recently moved into his current role as Associate Demand Planner.

Intern highlight: Kyle presented his final internship project to senior leaders at headquarters in Camden, NJ. 

Irene Sul, Associate Analyst, Operational Excellence – Hanover

Why Campbell’s: “There are so many exciting opportunities here for interns. They challenge you to figure out what you want to do and what you can do.” 

Education: B.S., Chemical Engineering, Villanova University 

Campbell’s journey: Irene started as an Engineering Intern in Charlotte, NC developing soft skills not taught in the classroom. She transitioned into a full-time role at the Hanover, PA plant, where she focuses on problem solving, cross-functional collaboration, and project management.

Intern highlight: Irene discovered her passion for manufacturing and engineering thanks to her supportive and encouraging internship experience.
