Honoring our veterans

Inclusion & Diversity

Our CEO, Mark Clouse, joined Campbell’s Veterans Connections Employee Resource Group and other employees for a flag raising at our headquarters in Camden, New Jersey in celebration of Veterans Day.

“Besides being a father, the greatest privilege of my life was the opportunity to lead people in the military. I can’t think of a better way to kick this day off than raising the flag to honor all who have served our country.”

Our Veterans Connection Employee Resource Group is a community where employees can share their military experiences and work to support military and veteran groups. Many members are veterans themselves, family members of veterans or active-duty service members.

“Showing up and being present is truly the best way we can express our support and appreciation to all those who have served in the military. My husband is in the military, and I appreciate working at a company that takes time to recognize and honor those who serve.”

Supporting veterans

We’re proud to partner with organizations that support service members and veterans in the transition from the military to civilian workforce.

American Corporate Partners (ACP): More than 50 of our employees volunteer with ACP as mentors for service members transitioning to civilian careers. Their work includes helping with resume writing, interviewing skills, networking, and adjusting to corporate life. We also partner with ACP to spread the word about hiring events across our locations nationwide—including hiring events held specifically for veterans.

Hirepurpose: Built by veterans to help veterans find employment, we partner with Hirepurpose to publish our open job opportunities to help connect transitioning service members, veterans, and military spouses to careers they love.

Earlier this year, we added a section to our website focused on Veterans Careers, which includes a Military Occupation Code search to match prospective employees to positions that match their skillset.

The Veterans Connection Social Justice Fund

This fund was created so our employees can help support organizations working toward social justice and equality for veterans and their families. In honor of Veterans Day, we will be matching all employee donations to this fund 100% throughout the month of November.

The fund benefits two organizations that were chosen by members of the Veterans Connection Employee Resource Group:

Iraq and Afghanistan Veterans of America Inc. (IAVA): Welcoming veterans of every background, time period, and discharge status, IAVA focuses on serving and improving the lives of post-9/11 veterans.

Veterans Multi-Service Center Inc.: With a mission to provide services, programs, and opportunities for the advancement of veterans, the Veterans Multi-Service Center is committed to advocating and bringing equity and quality to all veterans.

“As a veteran, I’ve always felt incredibly supported by Campbell. The support reaches deeper than just words: it includes our commitments to supporting veteran-owned businesses, our hiring events focused on veteran recruiting, and the partnerships we continue to foster with organizations that support veteran hiring.”
