CAMDEN, N.J., Oct 20, 2011 (BUSINESS WIRE) — Campbell Soup Company (NYSE: CPB) today announced the addition of eight new varieties to its popular line of Campbell’s Healthy Request soups. The eight new soups are among 35 new products Campbell is introducing in its U.S. Soup and Simple Meals business this fall.
The new soups bring the Healthy Request product line, which offers heart-healthy versions of some of Campbell’s most popular condensed, Chunky and Select Harvest soups, to 33 varieties. All contain 410 milligrams of sodium per serving, meet U.S. government criteria for healthy foods and display the American Heart Association’s heart-check mark.
Healthy Request soups are some of the top-performing varieties in Campbell’s soup portfolio, with compound annual sales growth of 21 percent over the past five years.
