The material on the site was developed by Campbell’s Global Nutrition and Heath
Department, which has organized the “eat smart” program for consumers. This
multi-faceted initiative offers consumers ways to learn more about their own
eating habits, as well as the importance of exercise and good nutrition for
overall health and disease prevention. All information is based on the latest
nutrition science.

Through the web site, consumers can access articles and background information
on:

    — Lifestyle Changes, from adopting new eating habits to stress
management.
— Understanding Nutrition Basics, including the building blocks of good
nutrition and information based on the latest science — in language
that everyone can understand.
— Ways to Eat Smart in situations from daily snacking to holiday eating.
— Finding the Fitness and Exercise regimen that’s best for you.
— Learning more about your Diagnosis and Diet, and the keys to
understanding how diet, as part of a healthy lifestyle, may help
reduce your risk for certain diseases, if you have a family history.

“The site is more than just an informational resource, it teaches people how to
put theory into practice,” says Pat Montgomery, Program Manager, Global
Nutrition & Health Department at Campbell Soup Company. “We made the site
practical by offering realistic menus and easy-to-follow recipes so that people
can take what they have learned and make sensible changes in their own lives.”

As visitors navigate through the site, they will find sample diets intended to
help them eat healthier — whether it’s by enjoying a more balanced diet;
controlling calories; or consuming more tomato-rich products, which have been
associated with a reduced risk of certain cancers.

Daily menus have been carefully designed by dietitians to meet recommended
guidelines for fat, saturated fat, protein, carbohydrates and sodium. These
menus also reference easy-to-prepare recipes from the “recipe center” portion of
the site. Campbelleatsmart.com proves that people can create a wholesome,
healthy meal in less than twenty minutes.

A special “product information” area features nutritional information on
Campbell’s wide array of soups. The site highlights products that offer
consumers convenient options for eating smart, including more than 30 varieties
of Campbell’s soup that have 100 calories or less and three grams of fat or less
per serving. These include such popular favorites as Chicken Noodle, Tomato and
Vegetable Beef.

Consumers can also view a list of the condensed soups that contain a full
serving of vegetables — a great way to help them reach that all-important goal
of achieving five servings of vegetables and fruits each day. Look for
Vegetarian Vegetable, Bean with Bacon, Minestrone and 11 other Campbell’s
varieties.
