All across the country, teen volunteerism is on the rise. According to
the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services, more American teens are
participating in community service activities than ever before.

“We want to call attention to and recognize teens who are giving back to
their schools and their communities,” said Tracy Brala, Senior Brand Manager

contributions made regularly by teens across the country.”

The grand prizewinner in the school-based volunteerism category will win a
celebrity signed snowboard and the opportunity to have a private lesson with
Tara Dakides, the top female snowboarder. The grand prizewinner in the
community service-based volunteerism category will win a celebrity signed
skateboard and the opportunity to have a private lesson with Bucky Lasek, the
World’s top vertical skateboarder.
